CVE-2023-22470Network attack vector

Authenticated service interruption via unbounded field values

Published Jan 14, 2023 · Updated Mar 10, 2025

Uncontrolled resource consumption in Nextcloud Deck allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service by submitting oversized field values. Deck service methods accepted unbounded strings, including an overly long board title, and passed them to database writes that returned errors under repeated requests. Exploitation requires low-privilege Deck access and user interaction; the published advisory does not define the interaction or claim a full outage.
