CVE-2023-2245Network attack vector

Dangerous file upload via catchimage handler

Published Apr 22, 2023 · Updated Feb 4, 2025

Unrestricted file upload in hansunCMS 1.4.3 allows remote authenticated users to place dangerous files through the catchimage endpoint. Public records identify the catchimage handler as the locus but do not disclose which input or validation failure permits dangerous file types. Low-privileged network access is sufficient, and the documented consequence is attacker-controlled file placement; code execution depends on server-side handling of the uploaded file.
