SMRAM disclosure via attacker-inflated variable length

Improper initialization in Intel NUC BIOS firmware allows local users with high privileges to disclose portions of protected SMRAM memory. In the SmbiosDmiEdit SMM driver, GetVariable can enlarge DataSize beyond the 64-byte WriteOnceStatusData buffer, and SetVariable then copies excess SMRAM stack bytes into NVRAM. Exploitation requires privileged local code to prepopulate the WriteOnceStatus variable and trigger the software SMI; the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of SMRAM contents.
