Diagnostic web interface interruption via oversized HTTP request
Published Dec 18, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Improper input validation in Gallagher Controller 6000 and Controller 7000 allows remote attackers to stop the diagnostic web interface. The optional port 80 interface accepts an oversized HTTP request without adequate size validation, causing its diagnostic web service to become unavailable. The interface must be enabled, and exploitation interrupts only diagnostic web access; Gallagher reports activity only in test environments.
