Stored script execution via unescaped theme CSS path
Published Feb 24, 2023 · Updated Mar 12, 2025
Stored XSS in SHIRASAGI 1.16.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a visitor's browser. The theme renderer inserts an administrator-controlled CSS path into a link element through HTML-string concatenation without attribute escaping. Exploitation requires administrative access, publication of the crafted theme, and a visitor opening a page that uses it, exposing that browser session to attacker-controlled script.
