Remote data alteration via unenforced message integrity
Published May 3, 2023 · Updated Jan 29, 2025
Improper message-integrity enforcement in F5 BIG-IP Edge Client 7.2.2 through 7.2.4 allows remote attackers to alter connection data. During pre-connection processing, the client fails to ensure that a received message was not modified in transit; F5 has not disclosed the specific message or validation routine. Reachability is limited to pre-connection network exchanges, and the reported consequence is data alteration without disclosure or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
