Traffic disclosure via improper certificate validation
Published Feb 13, 2023 · Updated Mar 21, 2025
Improper certificate validation in ICHIRAN Official App before 3.1.0 allows remote attackers to eavesdrop on encrypted communications. The server-certificate verification path accepts an untrusted network endpoint, but the publisher has not disclosed the omitted trust or hostname check. Exploitation requires control of the network path between the mobile app and its server; the documented consequence is intercepted traffic.
