Code execution via unchecked parts-management bounds
Published Feb 13, 2023 · Updated Mar 21, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Screen Creator Advance 2 0.1.1.4 Build01 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a crafted project file. The parts-management parser reads beyond its data boundary because it fails to verify the end of supplied parts information. A user must open the malicious project; successful exploitation exposes process memory or executes code in that user's process.
