Code execution via unchecked project-file structure bounds
Published Feb 13, 2023 · Updated Mar 21, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Screen Creator Advance 2 0.1.1.4 Build01 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a crafted project file. The file-structure parser does not verify the end of supplied data before reading it, allowing access beyond the intended buffer. Exploitation requires a user to open the file, and the resulting memory access permits information disclosure or arbitrary code execution.
