Credential disclosure via replayable password hashes
Published Jan 20, 2023 · Updated Apr 3, 2025
Authentication weakness in CONPROSYS HMI System 3.4.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to obtain credentials via interception. The authentication exchange accepts the password hash itself as the credential, allowing an intercepted hash to substitute for the password. Exploitation requires authenticated access and a man-in-the-middle position; the reported consequence is credential disclosure only.
