Authentication bypass via concatenated LoginAuth SQL query
Published Jul 6, 2023 · Updated Nov 14, 2024
SQL injection in Milesight MilesightVPN 2.0.2 allows remote attackers to bypass administrator authentication through the web login. requestHandlers.js LoginAuth concatenates the untrusted user field directly into a credential query; any nonempty result causes it to issue a JWT for the first matched account. Network access to the HTTP or HTTPS login endpoint is sufficient, and successful exploitation grants administrator access to device details and VPN configuration.
