CVE-2023-22303

Administrator impersonation via device-wide login state

Published Jan 17, 2023 · Updated Apr 4, 2025

Authentication bypass in TP-Link TL-SG105PE firmware before 1.0_1.0.0 Build 20221208 allows attackers to access its Web UI as administrator. A device-wide login state is not bound to the authenticated browser, so after one browser logs in, a second browser receives administrator access without credentials. The attacker must share the switch's local network and wait for or induce an administrator login; successful access exposes information and permits settings changes.
