Phishing redirects via unchecked login next parameter
Published Jan 17, 2023 · Updated Apr 3, 2025
Open redirect in pgAdmin 4 before 6.14 allows remote attackers to redirect users to arbitrary websites through a crafted login URL. In server mode, the login page accepts the next parameter as a post-login destination without restricting it to a local pgAdmin path. No authentication is required to prepare the URL, but a user must follow it for the redirect and resulting phishing exposure to occur.
