Out-of-bounds reads in Rapid7 Velociraptor before 0.6.8 allow local users to crash Windows clients with malformed PE or OLE files. The PE, OLE, and Authenticode parsers insufficiently validate malformed file structures and read beyond buffer bounds during artifact collection. Exploitation requires file placement concurrent with relevant collection; the service restarts after the crash, and other artifacts remain collectible.
