Arbitrary file read via injected XML URLs

Published Mar 27, 2023 · Updated Mar 5, 2025

XML injection in Adobe Commerce 2.4.4-p2 and earlier and 2.4.5-p1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files. The vulnerable request path accepts attacker-injected URLs during XML processing and makes arbitrary application requests, but Adobe has not disclosed the affected endpoint or parser operation. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the reported consequence is limited to files readable by the Commerce process.
