Code execution via malicious-file use-after-free
Published Feb 17, 2023 · Updated Mar 5, 2025
Use after free in Adobe Animate 22.0.8 and earlier and 23.0.0 and earlier allows context-dependent attackers to execute code via a malicious file. Adobe has not published the affected FLA-parsing locus or the invalid lifetime operation that leaves an object accessible after it is freed. A victim must open the file, and resulting code runs with the current user's permissions, allowing account-bounded data access, modification, or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
