Authenticated server hang or repeatable crash
Published Oct 17, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Denial of service in the Server Optimizer in Oracle MySQL Server 8.0.34 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to crash the server. Oracle has not published the optimizer locus or the incorrect operation that processes attacker-controlled SQL. A high-privileged account and MySQL Protocol access are required; exploitation causes a hang or frequently repeatable crash.
