Unauthenticated service interruption via undisclosed JSSE flaw
Published Oct 17, 2023 · Updated May 28, 2026
Denial of service in JSSE in Oracle Java SE 8u381, 8u381-perf, 11.0.20, 17.0.8, and 21 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via HTTPS. Oracle has not published the faulty JSSE operation or the HTTPS input that triggers the partial denial of service. Reachability requires a deployment that loads and runs untrusted code while relying on the Java sandbox; servers that load only trusted code are outside Oracle's stated exposure.
