Recovery operation hang or repeatable crash
Published Oct 17, 2023 · Updated Sep 13, 2024
Denial of service in Oracle Database 19.3 through 19.20 and 21.3 through 21.11 allows remote authenticated users to hang or crash Recovery Manager. Oracle has not published the vulnerable routine or the operation it performs incorrectly on Recovery Manager input. Exploitation requires a high-privileged DBA account and network access through Oracle Net; successful attacks affect availability only and can repeatedly interrupt recovery operations.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=19.3 <=19.20
