Deserialization in the CORBA component of Oracle Java SE 8u381 and 8u381-perf allows remote attackers to modify accessible data. CORBA stub readObject methods deserialize stringified IORs without restricting corbaname or corbaloc URLs to the expected IOR URI format. Exploitation requires attacker-supplied serialized data to reach affected APIs, such as through a web service; successful attacks update, insert, or delete only accessible data.
