Hypervisor-memory disclosure via uninitialized GPA requests
Published Apr 18, 2023 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Information disclosure in Oracle VM VirtualBox Core before 6.1.44 and before 7.0.8 allows local users to read hypervisor-accessible memory. GPA request handling accesses memory without first initializing it, exposing stale contents to the requesting guest. Exploitation requires high-privileged code execution inside a guest; the disclosure can support a separate hypervisor escape, but it does not directly alter data or interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
