Authenticated connector crashes and limited data compromise
Published Apr 18, 2023 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Denial of service and data compromise in Oracle MySQL Connector/J 8.0.32 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to attack via MySQL Protocol. Oracle has not disclosed the affected function or the incorrect operation that processes untrusted protocol data. Exploitation requires high privileges, high attack complexity, and another person's interaction; success can hang or repeatedly crash the connector and permit limited data reads or changes.
