CVE-2023-2196Network attack vector

Agent file existence disclosure via unchecked validation

Published May 16, 2023 · Updated Jan 22, 2025

Path traversal in Jenkins Code Dx Plugin 3.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to test arbitrary agent file paths. A form-validation method accepts an attacker-supplied path and checks its existence outside the job workspace without requiring Item/Configure permission. Item/Read permission on a job is sufficient, and the Boolean result discloses only whether the selected path exists.
