Denial of service in Oracle MySQL Server's Optimizer component 8.0.31 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to crash or hang the server. Oracle identifies the affected locus only as Server: Optimizer and has not published the triggering query, code path, or incorrect operation. Exploitation requires a high-privilege account and network access through the MySQL protocol, and the reported consequence is limited to a hang or repeatable crash.
