Authenticated server crash and data modification via InnoDB
Published Jan 17, 2023 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Denial of service and data modification in Oracle MySQL Server 8.0.31 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to crash the service. Oracle identifies InnoDB as the affected component but has not published the flawed operation or the input that reaches it. Exploitation requires high MySQL privileges and network access through the MySQL protocol, and successful attacks can hang or repeatedly crash the server or update, insert, or delete accessible data.
