Data access and modification via external entities
Published Jan 17, 2023 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
XXE in Oracle Web Services Manager 12.2.1.4.0 allows remote attackers to read or modify accessible data through crafted HTTP input. The XML Security component processes attacker-controlled XML without adequately restricting external entity references; Oracle has not disclosed a finer code-level locus. Successful exploitation requires interaction by another person and can expose, create, delete, or alter all data accessible to the service, without a reported service interruption.
