Unauthenticated modification of critical application data
Published Jan 17, 2023 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Improper access control in Oracle Applications DBA 12.2.3 through 12.2.12 allows remote attackers to alter critical data via HTTP. Oracle identifies the Java utils component but has not published the affected request path, authorization check, or wrong operation on untrusted input. No credentials or user interaction are required; successful exploitation can create, delete, or modify all data accessible to the component without disclosing it or interrupting service.
