Administrator stored XSS via unescaped settings output
Published Jun 27, 2023 · Updated Nov 27, 2024
Stored XSS in Aajoda Testimonials before 2.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through the plugin settings page. The settings handler stores the aajodatestimonials_code value and returns it inside the settings textarea without sanitization or output escaping. Administrator access is required, and exploitation depends on unfiltered_html being disabled, such as on WordPress multisite; opening the injected page executes the stored script.
