Post-title overwrite via unauthorized object references
Published Aug 31, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Insecure direct object reference in BadgeOS 3.7.1.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to overwrite arbitrary post titles. Four AJAX handlers use attacker-controlled object references to update title fields without adequate validation or authorization checks. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the resulting write is limited to stored post titles; no confidentiality or availability impact is reported.
