Browser script execution via unescaped Related Posts content
Published Apr 19, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in TaxoPress 3.6.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with Editor access to run scripts in visitors’ browsers. The Related Posts functionality stores attacker-controlled content and renders it without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping. Editor-level access is required to inject the payload, and the script executes when another user opens the affected page.
