Current-user code execution via PDF buffer overrun
Published Apr 12, 2023 · Updated Mar 5, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.11.187303 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a malicious PDF. The PDF parser writes crafted data past the end of an allocated buffer, corrupting adjacent process memory. Exploitation requires the current user to visit a malicious page or open the file, and successful code runs in that user's process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
