CVE-2023-2158Network attack vector

Unauthenticated impersonation via forgeable persistent-login tokens

Published Apr 27, 2023 · Updated Jan 31, 2025

Authentication bypass in Synopsys Code Dx before 2023.4.2 allows remote attackers to assume any account with a known username. The persistent-login token generator uses a hard-coded cipher, so attacker-crafted tokens are accepted across separate Code Dx systems. Exploitation requires only the target username and grants access as that account; no service interruption is reported.
