Arbitrary memory disclosure via bc_tui bounds failure
Published May 4, 2023 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Samsung Blockchain Keystore before 1.3.12.1 allows local users to read arbitrary memory through its bc_tui trustlet. The trustlet mishandles the BC_TUI_CMD_SEND_RESOURCE_DATA_ARRAY command and reads beyond the intended buffer boundary. Exploitation requires local access with high privileges, and the reported consequence is memory disclosure without integrity or availability impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
