Improper access control in the Telephony framework on Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR May-2023 Release 1 allows local users to alter call settings. A Telephony broadcast receiver lacks a protective permission, so it accepts an otherwise unauthorized local request that alters the setting. Local access is required, but no privileges or user interaction are needed; the disclosed consequence is limited to changing a call setting.
