Local code execution via missing boundary check
Published Sep 3, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in libaudiosaplus_sec.so on select Samsung Android 11, 12, and 13 devices allows local users to execute arbitrary code. The library fails to enforce a proper boundary check before writing, allowing attacker-controlled processing to overwrite adjacent memory. Execution requires local access to an affected device; Samsung has not disclosed the input path, target process, or resulting privilege level.
