CVE-2023-21452

MAC address disclosure via implicit intent hijacking

Published Mar 16, 2023 · Updated Feb 26, 2025

Implicit-intent hijacking in Bluetooth on Samsung Mobile Devices running Android 11, 12, or 13 allows attackers to obtain a connected MAC address. The Bluetooth component sends the connected-device identifier through an implicit intent, permitting another local application to intercept it instead of restricting delivery to the intended component. Exploitation requires local execution and user interaction, and the consequence is limited to disclosure of the connected device identifier.
