Hardcoded key use in the NFC component of Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Jan-2023 Release 1 allows local users to read card-emulation PINs. The component encrypts those PINs with a fixed AES key, allowing locally accessible ciphertext to be decrypted with the embedded key. Access requires a selected Android 10 device and local execution context; the reported consequence is PIN disclosure only.
