OS command injection in AXIS License Plate Verifier 2.8.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via api.cgi. The api.cgi handler passes user-controlled input to an operating-system command without neutralizing command metacharacters, allowing injected commands to run on the hosting camera. Administrator-level access to the network endpoint is required, and successful exploitation runs commands in the application's context on the camera.
