CVE-2023-2141Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via BinaryFormatter deserialization

Published Apr 21, 2023 · Updated Feb 4, 2025

Unsafe .NET deserialization in Dassault Systèmes DELMIA Apriso Release 2017 through Release 2022 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The generic Serializable.Deserialize method in FlexNet.Apriso.ClientComponents.Shared.dll decodes and decompresses request data before passing it to BinaryFormatter without a safe type boundary. A valid Apriso session can submit a crafted object to the DynamicGrid, TreeControl, or ProcessBuilder endpoints and run code as the IIS application pool.
