CVE-2023-21205

Local information disclosure via unsafe WPS deserialization

Published Jun 28, 2023 · Updated Dec 3, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in Android 13 wpa_supplicant allows local users to disclose process memory through a WPS PIN display request. StaIface::startWpsPinDisplayInternal unsafely deserializes request data and reads beyond the intended buffer boundary. A local low-privileged caller can trigger the read without user interaction, exposing data available to the affected process.
