Local information disclosure via unchecked SDP record bounds
Published Jun 28, 2023 · Updated Dec 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Android 13 Bluetooth SDP handling allows local users to disclose process memory without user interaction. The remove_sdp_record function in btif_sdp_server.cc fails to check bounds before reading an SDP record. Exploitation requires local execution but no additional execution privileges, and the documented consequence is memory disclosure without data modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
