Local information disclosure via unchecked callback bounds
Published Jun 28, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in the Android 13 Bluetooth server allows local users with System execution privileges to disclose server memory. btm_ble_batchscan_filter_track_adv_vse_cback in btm_ble_batchscan.cc reads beyond a buffer because it fails to validate callback data bounds. Exploitation requires System-level code execution on the device, needs no user interaction, and is limited to information disclosure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
