Administrator-level SQL injection via unescaped table parameter
Published May 8, 2023 · Updated Feb 4, 2025
SQL injection in Basix NEX-Forms before 8.4 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to execute database queries. The nf_update_record AJAX action concatenates the user-controlled table parameter into an SQL query without escaping, filtering, or parameterization. Administrator-level WordPress access is required, and successful injection permits attacker-controlled SQL execution against the site's database.
