Database disclosure via unescaped report parameters
Published May 30, 2023 · Updated Jan 10, 2025
SQL injection in Groundhogg Inc. HollerBox before 2.1.4 allows remote authenticated users to read database data through the report API. The /wp-json/hollerbox/report endpoint concatenates the before and after query parameters into an SQL statement without escaping them. WordPress administrator access in a multisite configuration is required, and crafted UNION queries expose sensitive site database information.
