Local file disclosure via empty-referrer trust bypass

Path traversal in Dynalist Inc. Obsidian before 1.2.8 allows attackers to read local files through a crafted embedded webpage. The app://local handler resolves attacker-supplied absolute paths and treats requests with an empty referrer as trusted, allowing iframe JavaScript to read and exfiltrate returned file contents. Exploitation requires a user to open a malicious Markdown or Canvas file, or paste attacker-controlled web content into Obsidian; disclosed consequences include vault disclosure and file modification through a separate Obsidian URI.
