CVE-2023-21082

Local contact-number disclosure via content URI processing

Published Apr 19, 2023 · Updated Feb 5, 2025

Information disclosure in Android Telecom 11, 12, 12L, and 13 allows local users to enumerate another user's contact phone number. NewOutgoingCallIntentBroadcaster.getNumberFromCallIntent passes an untrusted content-scheme call URI to a helper that resolves it through the content resolver instead of accepting only tel or sip data. A locally executing app with user privileges can trigger the disclosure without user interaction, but the flaw grants no reported ability to modify contacts or disrupt calls.
