CVE-2023-21054Network attack vector

Remote code execution via modem bounds error

Published Mar 24, 2023 · Updated Feb 21, 2025

Out-of-bounds write in Google Pixel Android kernel modem code allows remote authenticated users to execute code with System privileges. EUTRAN_LCS_ConvertLCS_MOLRReq in LPP_CommonUtil.c performs a faulty location-request conversion that writes outside its intended buffer. Exploitation requires System execution privileges but no user interaction and can yield arbitrary code execution in the modem context.
