Information disclosure in Google Markup on affected Pixel devices allows local users to recover cropped screenshot content from edited PNG files. BitmapExport.java overwrites a smaller edited image without truncating the existing file, leaving compressed original-image bytes after the new PNG IEND chunk. Exposure requires a screenshot to be cropped and saved over its original file, after which anyone obtaining that file can partially reconstruct removed pixels.
