Local information disclosure via unchecked Bluetooth payload
Published Mar 24, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Android 13 Bluetooth system code allows local users with System execution privileges to disclose process memory. btm_ble_rand_enc_complete in btm_ble.cc reads an HCI completion payload without first checking that the buffer contains the expected bytes. No user interaction is required, but code must already execute with System privileges; the reported consequence is information disclosure only.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
