Local information disclosure via unchecked Bluetooth event
Published Mar 24, 2023 · Updated Feb 25, 2025
An out-of-bounds read in Android 13's Bluetooth System component allows local users with System privileges to disclose process memory. ParseBqrLinkQualityEvt in btif_bqr.cc reads fields from a Bluetooth link-quality event without checking that the input buffer is long enough. Exploitation requires System execution privileges, needs no user interaction, and is limited to information disclosure from the Bluetooth process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
